Which school or program?Hear Akeisha from Ryerson University and Alex and Ruth from George Brown College provide their adviceCaroline, High school student: "What if I don't know what school or program is right for me?" Akeisha, Ryerson University : Look for the school that will best suit your personality, will best suit what you want to study, and where you can actually see yourself fitting in and getting a good education, and a good experience out of it. Alex, George Brown College : If you don't know what school is right for you, you might want to check out each personal school, because each has a kind of focus. Some schools are more arts focused and you can go there and take a different type of arts class, or some are more math or science type oriented so you can go there and match whatever you want to your own personal needs. Ruth, George Brown College : If you don't know what school program is right for you go to your guidance counselor, research different types of universities and colleges around your community and figure out what type of program you are interested in. You can go visit the college or university; you don't have to make a choice right away. You can take your time, visit the university, talk to professors, people within the school, counselor, to choose what type of things you are interested in. |
