What if I need help when I'm there?

Kafi from George Brown College and Kareem and Akeisha from Ryerson University outline the types of supports available to you in postsecondary education

Caroline, High school student: "What if I need help when I am there?"

Kafi, George Brown College : They have tutoring that can help you. They have professors. They give you their number to call them; their email number, so if you need help with it you can email them, you can go to tutoring. They have a tutoring office. They have a professor's office, any time that you need help you can go. And you have friends at the same time; if you don't want to talk to a professor you have friends that will help you with it. So you can ask your friends. All you have to do is be open with yourself and everybody can help you with it.

Kareem, Ryerson University: If you are worried that you are going to need help with your post secondary education don't fret because each campus has tons of services that will help you. They have writing centres, mentorship programs...

Akeisha, Ryerson University : If you feel that you may need a little extra help maybe you can always talk to your professor or in most post secondary educations, especially in university, we have different counseling groups that you can go to or there is academic help with writing essays or taking tests or exams or things like that. Definitely check out your individual school and I am sure that they will have something to help you out.
