Council of the Federation Literacy AwardThe Council of the Federation Literacy Award recognizes outstanding achievement, innovative practices and excellence in literacy. Thirteen winners are chosen each year, one for each province and territory. 2009 Ontario AwardThe 2009 Ontario Council of the Federation Literacy Award recognizes a ‘literacy enabler’ whose work has made it possible for adult learners to achieve their goals. This year's recipient, Sarnia-area literacy champion Jean Doull, has spent the past 25 years campaigning for people in need of language and basic skills training. The 2009 award recipients were announced during the Council’s annual summer meeting held August 5-7 in Regina. Previous Winners |
