Job Connect

Job Connect can help people prepare for and find a job. Job Connect also works with employers to help them find and hire the qualified people they need.

How does it work for employers?

Employers who operate a business in Ontario can find a local Job Connect service in their community, and get help finding the skilled and qualified employees they need.

How does it work for job seekers?

Job Connect can help you in a number of different ways. Here are some examples:

Information and Resource Service
This service provides workshops and information to help you learn about different careers and find out which jobs are in demand. It can also help you learn about apprenticeships and other kinds of training. If you are a newcomer to Ontario or an internationally trained individual, it can help you find a job matched to your skills and experience.

Employment Planning and Preparation
This service can help you decide on the type of job that will suit you best, and make plans for training or job hunting.

Job Development and Placement Support
This service can help you find a job placement to get work experience, or on-the-job training.

Who is it for?

Anyone looking for a job can walk into a Job Connect office and use the information and resource services. To use the Employment Planning and Preparation service, or get Job Development and Placement Support, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Be out of school and out of work
