School Boards Collective Bargaining Act Review – Stakeholder Consultation Summary

The Government of Ontario reached negotiated central agreements under the School Boards' Collective Bargaining Act (SBCBA) with all nine teacher and education workers tables. These agreements are a testament to the commitment and hard work of our education partners towards collaborative and creative solutions to achieve net-zero agreements that support student achievement.

To build on the success of this first round of bargaining under the SBCBA, the government committed to a consultation with its partners in order to review the Act to see if there were further improvements that could be made to the process.

On July 4, 2016, the Minister of Education publicly released the below summary of those consultations.
