The McCord Museum of Canadian History introduces EduWeb, its new on-line educational program. EduWeb is accessible free of charge and presents diverse ways of using Web resources in secondary-level history classes.
- Independent Learning Centre
As part of TVOntario, the Independent Learning Centre (ILC) provides a wide range of distance education courses that allow adults to earn secondary school diploma credits, upgrade their basic skills, or study for personal development. The General Educational Development (GED) testing program is also available.

The organization is OntarioLearn, a consortium of the 22 English colleges to cooperatively develop and deliver online courses and programs.
- Open School Distance Education Website
From the British Columbia's Open School, this site contains the Distance Education Guidebook and other information about courses and programs of study for correspondence students. The courses are available to non-B.C. residents.

Virtual Learning Centre
Founded in 1997, the Virtual Learning Centre (VLC) remains Ontario's first operational online secondary school. The VLC provides equitable access to programs for Trillium Lakelands' students, and to students from elsewhere in the province.
