Full-Day Kindergarten

Full-Day Kindergarten Last week, boards and full-day kindergarten schools received samples of a parent guide designed to answer questions about play-based learning.

The guide can be ordered through ServiceOntario Publications or downloaded from the ministry website.

There is also a fact sheet for download which provides an overview of the program and implementation plans.

General information about full-day kindergarten is now available in 17 languages at ontario.ca/kindergarten, and you can watch the 15 second version of the ministry's TV ad on the ministry's website.

Building Blocks for Education: Whole System Reform On September 13 and 14, the Ontario government hosted a two-day summit in Toronto that brought together experts and education policy makers from across the globe.

You can watch the Premier's remarks and see the keynote speakers at the ministry website. As well, more information will be added in the coming weeks.

Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week is November 15 – 19, 2010

As part of our ongoing efforts to help promote safer schools, Ontario has designated the third week of November as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week.
