Subject: Voluntary Virtual Capacity Building Sessions

The Student Achievement Supports Branch within the Student Achievement Division is pleased to announce virtual capacity building sessions for Student Success (SSL) and School Effectiveness (SEL) leads and those supporting Student Achievement Division work at the school or system level.

The first sessions are intended ideally for those new to the aforementioned roles in the last two years. This virtual Adobe session will include a brief history and overview for context, including policy and other documents pertaining to student achievement and well-being that relate to the SSL and SEL roles in your school board.

The new Student Success Virtual Learning Modules (VLM) will be highlighted as a tool for Student Success Teachers and Teams, to support their learning and work with students to improve student achievement and well-being.

We will examine the Reports connected with the Student Achievement Division, including Taking Stock, Planning and Reporting for Improving Student Achievement (PRISA) and Achieving Excellence in Applied Courses (AEAC).

There will be a Q and A section and an opportunity for participant feedback, to help respond to and inform future sessions and work within your school board.

Please note that these are voluntary sessions and that they will be repeated to provide flexibility for participants. The first adobe session will be available on the following 3 dates:

Session #1
November 28 at 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM EST
November 29 at 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM EST
December 1 at 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM EST

Future adobe sessions will take place on the following dates:

Session #2
February 20 from 10:30 am – noon
February 21 from 10:30 am – noon
February 22 from 10:30 am – noon

Session #3
April 10 from 10:30 am – noon
April 11 from 10:30 am – noon
April 12 from 10:30 am – noon
