Subject: Invitation to the third annual “Working Together to Support the Well-Being and Successful Educational Outcomes of Children and Youth in Care Symposium” on May 23, 2017

On behalf of the Ministry of Education, it is our pleasure to invite you and two members of your staff to attend the third annual “Working Together to Support the Well-Being and Successful Educational Outcomes of Children and Youth in Care Symposium.”

DATE: Tuesday, May 23, 2017
LOCATION: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front Street W., Toronto.
TIME: 9:00 am to 3:30 pm

This one-day symposium will enable participants to form a greater understanding of how they can work together to improve the educational outcomes for children and youth in care (CYIC).

Through an integrated approach, the symposium will include a variety of learning opportunities that will enhance the understanding of each partner’s role in the educational lives of CYIC, highlight effective practices, lessons learned, and provide an opportunity for collaborative dialogue as we move forward to the 2017-18 school year.

You can register for the event here: https://event-wizard.com/events/CYICSymposium2017/. Please note that there is no registration fee for the symposium and expenses will be reimbursed according to Ministry of Education guidelines.

For any queries about the symposium please contact Gurjit Gill at gurjit.gill@ontario.ca or by phone at 416-325-2671.

We hope to see you at the symposium.
