Parents Reaching Out Grants

Applications for the 2014-2015 Parents Reaching Out Grants program are now closed.
Applicants will be notified directly regarding the status of their application.

Since 2006, the government has supported over 15,000 Parents Reaching Out (PRO) Grants to School Councils and 568 Regional/Provincial Grants. This is a total investment of over $24 million to help increase parent involvement in support of student achievement and well-being.

Parents play a vital role in publicly funded education. Ontario's Parents Reaching Out grants encourage parent engagement at the local, regional and provincial levels. They are designed to support parents in identifying barriers to parent engagement in their own community and to find local solutions to involve more parents in support of student achievement and well-being.

There are two types of grants:

Approved school council projects and regional/provincial projects for 2014-15 are listed below.

For information on the two types of grants, examples of past projects and application procedures please read the flyer (PDF, 257 KB).
