Interacting with Schools

• Independent Learning Centre (ILC)
  The Independent Learning Centre (ILC) provides a distance education program, in English and in French, for Ontario residents who want to earn secondary school diploma credits, upgrade basic skills, or study for personal development. ILC also offers an elementary program for children temporarily living outside Canada.
• Ontario Association of Parents in Catholic Education
  Parent association committed to the quality of education in Ontario's Catholic schools.
• Ontario Federation of Home and School Associations
  Province-wide network provides for parental involvement in schools.
• Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

• Avon Maitland Distance Education Centre
  The Avon Maitland Distance Education Centre offers a wide selection of Ontario Secondary School Credits online, as well as an Online Cooperative Education program.
• Contact North
  Ontario's most extensive distance education network, Contact North is used by secondary schools, colleges, and universities to provide residents of Northern Ontario access to courses at more than 150 sites.
• e-Learning Ontario
  e-Learning Ontario is developing an e-learning strategy to provide all students in the province with access to high-quality courses and resources through emerging information and communication technologies.
• EduWeb
  The McCord Museum of Canadian History introduces EduWeb, its new on-line educational program. EduWeb is accessible free of charge and presents diverse ways of using Web resources in secondary-level history classes.
• Independent Learning Centre
  As part of TVOntario, the Independent Learning Centre (ILC) provides a wide range of distance education courses that allow adults to earn secondary school diploma credits, upgrade their basic skills, or study for personal development. The General Educational Development (GED) testing program is also available.
• Open School Distance Education Website
