Parent Engagement Survey

We want to hear from you

Consultation on draft Parent Engagement Policy

About this consultation

We are conducting a survey on the draft parent engagement policy. We welcome input from parents, caregivers, Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) members, school council members and all others with an interest in education.

The Ministry of Education, District School Boards and schools benefit not only from the important work parents do to help their children succeed in school, but also by helping to ensure that parent perspectives are heard and considered in developing policies and programs at the provincial, regional and local levels. In addition, the monitoring and measurement of parent engagement will help us to gauge our success over time, identify areas for further improvement and assist us as we continue working towards success.

Thank you. We value your feedback.

Before starting the survey

Please read the draft Parent Engagement Policy – Parents in Partnership (PDF, 380 KB) before answering the survey.

This survey will be active until December 31, 2009.

There is one for individuals and one for groups such as School Councils to consolidate their comments.

Groups may also find the facilitators guide helpful. (PDF, 254 KB)
