Future Directions

In its yearly Business Plan, the Ministry of Education sets performance targets and identifies measures to meet those targets.

A key component of the business plan is the continued strengthening of accountability. School boards will continue, as always, to be accountable to their communities for how they allocate funds. Performance and accountability indicators will continue to be published on the ministry's public website. Boards will continue to be required to report annually on how they use their funding and the results will be made public.
