Q. What is a podcast?
A. It is a multimedia broadcast hosted on a website. It could have audio or video.
Q. Do I need an iPod or other MP3 player to watch?
A. No. You can watch on a computer or any mobile device with video capabilities.
Q. How do I download a podcast?
A. For PC users:
- If you want to save and store the podcasts, you can create a folder before downloading.
- When you are ready, right-click on the name of the podcast file. From the menu of options, select either "Save target as" or "Save link as." Then either select the folder you just created or another location on your computer's hard drive to store the file. Your computer should then start to download the podcast.
A. For Mac users:
- If you want to save and store the podcasts, you can create a folder before downloading.
- When you are ready, hold down the Control (ctrl) key while using your mouse to click on the download link. When the option menu appears, choose "Download link to disk" or "Download linked file." Then pick a location on your computer's hard drive where you would like to store the file, your computer should start to download the podcast.
Q. Are the English and French video podcasts the same but just available in different languages?
A. They have the same theme but each shows a different family.
