Helping Laid-Off Workers Launch New CareersSecond Career helps recently laid-off workers get the skills training they need for high-demand jobs in their communities. What is Second Career?Second Career was launched in June 2008 to help laid-off Ontarians identify and train for new careers in growing sectors. Each participant can receive up to $28,000 to help pay for tuition, travel, books and other training costs. How is Second Career Changing?Ontario is expanding access to Second Career.
